First bio-LNG refuelling station in Southern Italy
Located near Naples, the new bio-LNG filling point is the result of a collaboration between Iveco, Vulcangas and Distributori Papa.
Southern Italy’s first bio-LNG refuelling station recently opened in San Vitaliano, a municipality located about 25 km northeast of Naples, Campania. The new bio-LNG filling point is the result of a collaboration between Iveco, Vulcangas and Distributori Papa.
Inaugurated in 2019, the San Vitaliano filling station has been supplying LNG unitil now.
Located near the Caserta-Salerno A30 motorway, the site is still in the development phase, with new services planned to be introduced this summer, such as a restaurant, a 6,000 square metre parking, electric vehicles charging points, and different amenities for drivers looking for a break while on the road.
In March this year, Iveco, Engie and Vulcangas launched the first bio-LNG refuelling station in North West Italy, located in Cascinette, Turin.
