France: ENGIE to launch its first natural gas filling stations on motorways
The group is planning to roll-out LNG/CNG filling stations in 2021 through its sustainable mobility offer GNVERT.
ENGIE Solutions, through its sustainable mobility service GNVERT, is planning to launch the company’s first LNG/CNG filling stations in France’s motorways this year, announced Deputy Commercial Director of GNVERT, Lauren-Anne Mounet, in conversation with Gaz-Mobilité.
GNVERT’s planned openings for 2021 include new LNG filling stations in the Paris region (Angers, Clermont-Ferrand, and Chelles), and new CNG sites in Quimper, Evreux and Le Mans in the beginning of the year, said Mounet.
Besides the commissioning of new gas filling stations, ENGIE Solutions is expanding access to its station network to partners’ corporate card, as ENGIE badge was the only authorised proof to use the company’s sites to date.
Since 1 January, all ENGIE stations are being supplied with 100% renewable electricity, said Mounet to Gaz-Mobilité.fr.
A part of ENGIE Solutions, GNVERT is the leading distributor of alternative fuels in France, offering compressed natural gas (CNG), bioCNG, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and hydrogen.
