Gilbarco's workers in Greenboro to give 12,000 hours to help communities
On October 2, more than 1,500 Gilbarco employees will join forces to give back to their communities.
Gilbarco has offered all employees a full work day to volunteer as part of a team, or with the community organizations of their choice. Gilbarco’s Greensboro location joins over 175 other Fortive company locations around the world in this Day of Caring initiative.
In Greensboro, Gilbarco Veeder-Root employees will be working on approximately 15 projects to feed the hungry, boost educational opportunities, support veterans, assist hospices, and fight homelessness.
“With over 1500 employees in the area, Gilbarco is committed to supporting the community by giving back its time and resources,” said Steve Moule, President of Gilbarco North America.
Throughout the day, Gilbarco employees will be contributing an estimated 12,000 hours to cleaning up parks and recreational areas, visiting schools and assisted living centers, making care packages for veterans and hurricane relief, and packing toiletry and snack kits for those in need.
