GPM acquires Michigan 1-Stop convenience stores

GPM Investments has expanded its portfolio in the Midwest region with the acquisition of 11 1-Stop convenience stores with fuel sales in Michigan from DMJ Corporation.

The transaction marks GPM’s 3rd acquisition in 2018, which brings their number of stores to almost 1,400, according to a company release.

1-Stop stores have become well-known for their proprietary loyalty program offering 1-Stop customers over $163,000 in free fuel and $100,000 in free drinks and merchandise in just a year.

A third-generation, family owned retail gas and convenience store operator, it was founded in 1948 in Flint, Michigan by Don Pietras Sr. and his wife Edna Pietras.

“Bringing the 1-Stop family of associates into the GPM fold was very important to our leadership team. We look forward to our continued development as we grow together through acquisitions,” said Arie Kotler, CEO, GPM Investments.

Richmond, Virginia-based GPM Investments operates or supplies fuel to stores across the United States as well as operates convenience stores that offer a large selection of grocery items.
