GRIDSERVE, Extra add seven EV Super Hubs to UK motorways
96 ultra-rapid chargers to be installed across key service areas by 2026.
GRIDSERVE has announced a major expansion of its UK motorway charging network in partnership with Extra MSA Group, unveiling plans for seven new EV Super Hubs at strategic service locations.
The initiative aims to make long-distance electric travel more convenient and stress-free as EV adoption continues to rise. By late 2026, drivers will have access to 96 high-power chargers across sites including Beaconsfield (opening this December), Baldock, Cambridge, Cobham, Cullompton, Leeds Skelton Lake, and Peterborough.
Each hub will feature 400kW-capable ultra-rapid chargers, among the fastest available in the UK, enabling many modern EVs to add over 100 miles of range in under 10 minutes.
The rollout builds on GRIDSERVE’s efforts since acquiring the former Electric Highway in 2021, modernising and expanding the UK’s motorway charging infrastructure. These new hubs represent a significant step toward a reliable, future-ready network designed to support the growing number of EV drivers on Britain’s roads.
