Honda opens first CNG fueling station
Honda has opened a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station in Marysville, Ohio. It is the first public CNG station located in a Honda property in the U.S.
The station will be operated by Trillium CNG, a leading provider of CNG technology and services. The fully automated station will provide services to CNG users, and encourage and facilitate suppliers and logistical partners to adopt and expand its use in the trucks used for Honda operations.
“Honda considers the environmental impact of all its operations,” said Tom Shoupe, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Honda of America Mfg., Inc.
“More than eight million parts are delivered to our local plants each day. For those carriers utilizing CNG trucks this will make a significant impact on emissions, and nicely complement the environment efforts of our manufacturing operations,” he added.
The station will feature three Class 8 dispensers for over-the-road carriers and can also serve customers who drive CNG-fueled passenger cars.
