HVR Energy, Q8 Spain ally to deploy hydrogen refueling stations
First sites planned in Badajoz and Córdoba, with operations expected by March 2026.
HVR Energy has entered into a strategic partnership with Q8 Spain to roll out hydrogen refueling stations across the country, marking a significant step toward integrating renewable hydrogen into the country’s existing service station network.
The initial phase of the project will focus on Badajoz and Córdoba, with the goal of bringing both sites online before March 2026. Under the agreement, HVR Energy will handle installation, commissioning, maintenance, and hydrogen supply, while Q8 will oversee sales to end customers.
The deployment will feature INICIA, HVR Energy’s compact 350-bar hydrogen solution. Designed with a small footprint and low power requirements, INICIA is tailored for integration into existing stations. By relying on the reception of pre-compressed hydrogen, the system minimizes local compression needs, shortens implementation timelines, and lowers overall costs.
According to HVR Energy, the collaboration represents a step forward in building a real and scalable hydrogen network that will support zero-emission mobility in Spain.
