Hynion opens new hydrogen refuelling station in Sweden
Located in the city of Gothenburg, the new site will be open for trial until December 20th, when it will be officially inaugurated.
Hynion has opened a new hydrogen refuelling station in Gothenburg, Sweden. The site will be accessible for trial refuelling until the 20th of December, when it will be officially opened for the public.
Both private drivers and commercial transport will be able to use the new facility opened last Monday. This facility will significantly contribute to alternative mobility throughout Scandinavia, with plans for more stations to come in the near future.
"When this station opens, mobility for hydrogen motorists will be greatly boosted not only in southern Sweden but also in Scandinavia. With Hynion's stations in Oslo, Stockholm and Sandviken, cars with a range of 600 km+ will immediately have a much larger radius of action. Furthermore, driving to the continent through Denmark will be significantly easier for cars based in the Oslo region,"said Ulf Hafseld, CEO of Hynion.
To ensure good development for the hydrogen users in Gothenburg, the company will establish a second station in the city, which is part-financed by the EU. The installation is expected to be ready during the first half of 2024, making it possible to use hydrogen in heavier vehicles.
The future location is being built to serve the expected increase in truck traffic on the Hamburg - Oslo route, but it will also supply local and domestic traffic.
