India: Maruti Suzuki reports 23% rise in CNG vehicle sales in 2014-15

New Delhi-based auto manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has sold 62,996 CNG vehicles in the last year compared with the year earlier period, the company said recently in a press release.

However, the increase is going relatively slow as the percentage of sales of CNG of total vehicle is now 5.4% compared with 4.9% in the previous year.

Maruti Suzuki was the first company to introduce CNG cars in India in 2010. It now offers six models which can run on either gasoline or CNG.
