India's power giant ventures into EV charging stations
India's largest energy conglomerate, NTPC, has installed its first electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at its offices in Delhi and Noida with a plan to expand the number of stations in the future, reports Hindustan Times.
The state-run power giant aims to promote the use of clean energy and eventually boost the demand for electric vehicles.
The move is also in line with the country's target of 100% electric car fleet by 2030.
"The idea is that by 2030, not a single petrol or diesel car should be sold in the country,” said Minister for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy Piyush Goyal.
