Innscore restaurant brands to open in Shell fuel stations in Namibia, Botswana
Vivo Energy, which retails Shell fuels and lubricants in Africa, said in a statement issued May 8 that Innscore Africa Ltd. “will add quick service restaurants at a number of its service stations in Namibia and Botswana”.
Innscore already has restaurants open in location at fuel stations in Kenya and Ghana.
Across our network we are looking to upgrade our service stations to a modern format and that’s why this partnership with Innscor is so important to us,” said David Mockford, Head of Convenience Retail for Vivo Energy.
The partnership will see Vivo Energy add quick service restaurants - including Chicken Inn, Pizza Inn, Creamy Inn and Galito’s Flame Grilled Chicken to a number of the Shell service stations in Namibia and Botswana.
Basil Dionisio, Executive Director, Innscor International Franchising Ltd, said that the accord allows Vivo to operate these brands in any of their stations.
There are 45 Shell stations in Namibia.
Innscor Africa, which was listed on the Zimbabwean Stock Exchange in 1998 and its current market capitalization is US$297 million, “is in the business to manufacture, distribute, retail food, fast moving and durable consumer goods to the mass market”.
