Italy: IP launches parcel collection at its fuel stations

Leading Italian fuel retailer partners with Poste italiane to offer parcel collection services at 40 IP-branded fuel stations.

IP API Group, the leading player in the Italian fuel and motorway services sectors, and Poste italiane, the main mail service provider in Italy, have signed a framework agreement for the establishment of parcel collection points at IP-branded fuel stations, according to an IP’s press release.

The partnership is debuting at 40 IP locations in the regions of Piedmont, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Tuscany.

34 collection points are already in operation: 11 are in Piedmont, 13 in Lombardy, 6 in Emilia Romagna, and 4 in Tuscany. The remaining 6 collection points will open in the coming months, with 2 in Lombardy, 2 in Piedmont, 1 in Emilia Romagna, and 1 in Tuscany.

“With the arrival of Poste's services, IP sites will become technologically advanced multi-service hubs, capable of responding to diverse users’ needs. The aim is to enrich the consumers' experience when stopping for refuelling, saving time and offering cost-effective solutions that are in line with evolving consumer habits,” says the press release.
