Japan: Air Liquide, JHyM launch new hydrogen station in Nagoya
The new Nagoya Odaka hydrogen station will be the 7th site jointly operated by the two companies in Japan, and the 6th opened in the Aichi Prefecture.
Air Liquide Japan and Japan H2 Mobility (JHyM) have launched the new Nagoya Odaka hydrogen station in Nagoya city, Chubu region. The site will be the 7th station jointly operated by the two companies in Japan, and the 6th opened in the Aichi Prefecture.
Nagoya Odaka hydrogen station is spread over a 1,057 m2 site area. With a supply capacity of more than 300 Nm3/h and 820 bars filling pressure, the expected refuelling time at the station is approximately 3 minutes. Business hours are Saturday to Thursday.
Host to the Japanese automobile industry, the Aichi Prefecture is an area with one of the largest numbers of hydrogen vehicles and stations (1,136 and 27 respectively, including the latest Nagoya Odaka site), along with Tokyo.
According to Air Liquide, the number of hydrogen-powered vehicles in Aichi Prefecture is expected to increase rapidly in the future, which justifies increasing the number of stations in this region. Prior to the Nagoya Odaka station, Air Liquide opened in July its Nagoya Nakagaw hydrogen filling site in the Aichi Prefecture.
By 2025, the Japanese Government aims to have 200,000 fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) on the roads, and 320 stations.
France’s multi-energy group Air Liquide has installed more than 120 hydrogen stations around the world.
