JET and SPAR UK open first of many dual branded gas stations
Fuel retailer JET and convenience store group SPAR UK have opened their first dual branded site in the United Kingdom, following the announcement of a partnership between the two brands in April.
JET Maybole in South Ayrshire is the first in a number of JET sites that have chosen to take advantage of the benefits of dual branding with SPAR. The gas station has undergone refurbishment and is now four times its original size.
“Running this size of store, we needed guidance and SPAR has really helped us throughout the redevelopment process. We were keen to develop our forecourt offering to establish a modern shop within the town centre,” said JET Maybole’s owner Brian Connolly.
Paul Yates, JET Territory Manager for Scotland, commented: “We believe that this partnership offers our existing dealer network – and any new sites that join – an opportunity to strengthen their own unique retail offering by combining two well-established and respected retail brands.”
JET is a leading fuel brand marketed by Phillips 66 Company in the UK and other EU countries, with a network of more than 350 independently-operated service stations throughout the UK.
