‘Largest’ heroin shipment found in Calgary convenience store

The staff of a northeast Calgary convenience store discovered a package containing two kilograms of heroin worth more than 600,000 Canadian dollars while they were unpacking a shipment of pre-made foods on March 11. The name of the c-store has not been disclosed.

According to Calgary Police Service Facebook post, the shipment came from California but they are still trying to determine when the drugs were placed in the shipment and who they were destined for.

“To my knowledge, it’s the largest shipment of heroin that we’ve seen in Calgary in a long time. It’s significant,” said Staff Sgt. Quinn Jacques in a Calgary Sun report.

The heroin was found in two clear, heat-sealed bags with the word ‘Navi’ written on the outside.
