Love’s adds new travel stop in central North Dakota
The company opens its fifth location in the state, expanding options for drivers along I-94.
Love’s Travel Stops has opened a new store in Sterling, North Dakota, reinforcing its presence along one of the region’s busiest freight and travel corridors. The location at 3201 Highway 14 sits between Bismarck and Valley City, giving commercial drivers, commuters and RV travelers another convenient stop near the intersection of Highways 14, 83 and Interstate 94.
The over 1,000 m² site brings expanded truck parking to the area with 59 spaces, along with five diesel bays and four showers aimed at keeping professional drivers moving efficiently. RV travelers will also find six hookups, dedicated parking and a dump station.
Inside, guests can access a range of everyday conveniences, including a dog park, laundry facilities and self-checkout. The store features Love’s Fresh Kitchen with daily prepared sandwiches, salads and fruit, as well as Godfather’s Pizza and Subway, part of the company’s larger push to offer more fresh and quick dining options across its network.
The Sterling location is also designed with future mobility needs in mind. Love’s has set aside space for potential EV charging stations and plans to work with local utilities to install chargers if customer demand grows.
To mark the opening, Love’s is donating $5,000 each to Great Plains Food Bank and Sanford Children’s Hospital, continuing its tradition of supporting local communities.
The new stop strengthens Love’s footprint in North Dakota while adding more services for truckers and travelers crossing the state’s central corridor, a region seeing steady traffic growth and increasing demand for reliable amenities.
