Lukoil tells Ukrainian Service it wants investigation of accusations

Lukoil said in a late January press statement that the company wrote to the Ukrainian Security Service to tell them that the Russian oil company is “interested in a prompt investigation of this case” because it is respectful of law in all 50 countries where it operates.

The company had been accused in mid January in the website of the Ukrainian Security Service of using revenue from oil imports to finance separatist organizations within Ukraine.

Lukoil added that it “is prepared to engage in strong cooperation with the law-enforcement agencies and to furnish them with information, as requested, regarding its operations in Ukraine. “

“OAO LUKOIL has not received any official messages from the Ukrainian party, with the only exception of an information bulletin, published on the Ukrainian Security Service’s site as far back as January 16, 2015,” the company press release added.
