Madagascar drivers see opening of country's first Shell station designed for motorcycles

Vivo Energy Madagascar said in a statement issued May 18 that it has opened a brand new “Shell Service Moto” in a site known as Gare Tamatave which is the first fuel station in the country dedicated to motorcycles.

“Shell has dedicated a space specialized in motorcycles with an island and a pump with four filling guns reserved for motorcycles,” the company said.

Pramoth Domun, Vivo Energy Madagascar’s general director, said that Vivo takes initiatives such as this with the intention of being considered an innovative company.

According to the statement, Vivo Energy Madagascar employs 61 people directly. The Shell brand has only had a presence in Madagascar for 12 years, according to the statement.
