Malaysia: Computer glitch disables 900 Shell stations

A computer glitch has stopped around 900 Shell gas stations in Malaysia from selling fuel to drivers.

Drivers around Malaysia could not pay for fuel with credit cards due to a computer glitch that affected hundreds of Shell stations. Only old dispensers which were not connected to the payment system continued to work.

Shell informed that the glitch had not been caused by a security breach, reports the Star Online.

The company is working “round-the-clock” to find a solution for the technical problem.
