MAPCO opens first checkout-free store under new partnership

As the inaugural outlet of its recent deal with Grabango, the new site offers customers the possibility to skip the line with one-second checkout.

MAPCO opened its first checkout-free store via its recent partnership with Grabango. Now available in Brentwood, Tennessee, the site lets shoppers save time and skip the line with one-second checkout. 

The retailer introduced a new way to shop that eliminates lines and saves people time where shoppers use the Grabango app instead of checking out. The experience is fully contactless; customers select the items they want and are billed through the app. Payment is contactless and automatic, with no need for barcode scanning.

MAPCO’s team is composed of more than 3,000 members t more than 300 convenience and fuel retailing stores. The brand operates across Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Kentucky and Mississippi, and also operates ML Energy Transportation, LLC - a fuel logistics business comprising 46 tankers, as well as a fuel wholesale and fleet group serving more than 125 accounts.
