Marathon Petroleum Corp. announces post-combination leadership team
Marathon Petroleum Corp. has unveiled the new executive team that will lead the combined company after MPC’s $23.3 billion acquisition of Andeavor.
The team will include executives from both MPC and Andeavor, leading the U.S. refining, marketing and midstream company into the future.
As previously announced, Gary R. Heminger will continue to serve as MPC's Chairman and CEO. "Both MPC and Andeavor are successful companies with excellent track records, and these leaders will enable us to deliver on the full potential of this powerful combination.”
The leadership team will consist of seven executives from MPC and three from Andeavor. Gregory J. Goff, currently Chairman, President and CEO of Andeavor, as Executive Vice Chairman, taking care of MPC's information technology, commercial and business development, strategy and corporate affairs functions.
MPC’s current President, Donald C. Templin, will be President of Refining, Marketing and Supply. Company owned and operated convenience stores will be the responsibility of Anthony R. Kenney, President of Speedway LLC. Michael J. Hennigan will continue President of MPLX LP.
Marathon brand gasoline is sold through approximately 5,600 independently owned retail outlets across 20 states and the District of Columbia. In addition, Speedway LLC, an MPC subsidiary, owns and operates the nation's second-largest convenience store chain, with approximately 2,740 convenience stores in 22 states.
