New Ford EcoSport cars get fuel supply from OMV Petrom
OMV Petrom, the largest oil group in Southeastern Europe, will be supplying fuel to all Ford EcoSport vehicles produced in Ford’s plant in Craiova, Romania. The supply agreement is part of a strategic partnership signed by the oil company and Ford Romania.
An OMV Petrom station will operate on the premises of the Craiova factory facilitating the supply of Petrom products to Ford vehicles from the start.
The memorandum of understanding also includes an analysis on the mobility needs of young families in Romania and Ford engineers attending OMV’s Andrei Country Programme’s Vocational Summer Camp, according to the company.
“Through strategic partnerships such as the one with Ford Romania, we have direct contact with the automotive industry which is the most relevant for us, as fuel producers,” said Mariana Gheorghe, CEO of OMV Petrom.
Ford has invested more than €1 billion in “transforming Craiova into a world-class production site for vehicles and engines,” noted John Oldham, President of Ford Romania.
