Oryx Energies has signed an agreement to sell its downstream petroleum products businesses in Mali, Côte d’Ivoire and Togo to Niangadou Distribution Compagnie SAU (NDC). Financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions, and Oryx’s operations in the three countries will continue as usual until completion.

NDC is a Malian energy company with experience in the import, distribution and transport of petroleum products. It plans to draw on its knowledge of the West African market and its regional presence to build on Oryx’s operations in the three countries.

The sale is part of a strategic review of Oryx’s African downstream portfolio, aimed at aligning its activities with the group’s long-term priorities. The company said it remains committed to Africa, focusing its investments on energy infrastructure and trading.

The agreement follows two other deals announced by Oryx in October in Tanzania: the sale of its downstream oil business to Amsons Group and of its gas business to ASAS Energies.
