Oxxo Gas stations join Jalisco emergency response network
Fuel stations will act as safe points and direct alert nodes within the state’s public security system.
Oxxo Gas has formalised a partnership with the Government of Jalisco in Mexico to integrate its fuel stations into the state’s emergency response and citizen protection framework, strengthening access to rapid assistance in public spaces.
Under the agreement, Oxxo Gas stations across Jalisco will be connected to the state’s C5 Escudo Jalisco command centre through a digital panic alert system. The stations will also operate as designated “safe points,” offering temporary shelter and support for individuals facing emergency or risk situations while authorities respond.
The initiative is part of Jalisco’s Pulso de Vida strategy, which aims to expand the reach of emergency response infrastructure and improve protection for vulnerable populations. By incorporating privately operated service stations, the programme extends coverage to high‑traffic locations with long operating hours.
As part of the rollout, Oxxo Gas will work with state authorities to train station staff in emergency response and risk‑prevention protocols. Personnel will be prepared to assist individuals on site and ensure alerts are properly escalated through official security channels. The C5 Escudo Jalisco system will handle alert reception, coordination and technical support.
The partnership adds 47 Oxxo Gas locations to the state’s network of designated emergency points, contributing to a growing grid of accessible locations where assistance can be requested quickly and discreetly.
