Philippines: PTT to fuel Cebu Pacific
PTT Philippines, local subsidiary of the state-owned Thai oil company, will supply most of the fuel requirements of the Philippines' top budget airline company Cebu Pacific, according to an agreement signed by PTT Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Sukanya Seriyothin and her Cebu Air counterpart Lance Gokongwei.
The contract renewal signed last week involves 1,680,000 US barrel (267 million liters) of aviation fuel for 2017.
PTT Philippines and Cebu Pacific have been partners for more than 10 years.
“We are always grateful to have partnered with Cebu Air. Our partnership has been growing stronger that is anchored on trust, loyalty, and commitment to provide the best and quality products and services that we could afford them,” Seriyothin said.
Top executives of the two companies were also present during the signing ceremony such as Thitiroj Rergsumran, Marketing Director of PTT Philippines; Danilo Alabado, General Manager of PTT Philippines Trading Corporation, and Joseph Macagga, Vice President for Fuel, Procurement & Facilities Management of Cebu Air.
Aside from airline fuel, PTT serves the maritime industry and operates more than 100 retail fuel stations in the country. It is also set to expand popular Thai coffee shop chain 'Café Amazon' in the Philippines.
