Pilot appoints new CFO
Former ExxonMobil executive Jeremy Osterstock brings global finance and strategy experience.
Pilot has named Jeremy Osterstock as executive vice president and chief financial officer, strengthening its leadership team with a seasoned finance executive who brings more than two decades of global experience from ExxonMobil.
Osterstock joins Pilot after nearly 25 years at ExxonMobil, where he held senior financial, commercial, and strategic roles across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Most recently, he served as chief financial officer for ExxonMobil’s upstream business, overseeing investment and portfolio strategy while leading large‑scale finance integration and transformation initiatives.
In his new role at Pilot, Osterstock will be responsible for all financial‑related activities and accountability across the company. His remit includes oversight of financial operations, accounting, forecasting, strategic planning, as well as deal analysis and negotiations.
The appointment follows a period of transition for the company’s finance organization after Berkshire Hathaway became its majority owner. Joe Lillo, who joined Pilot in 2023 and played a central role during that transition, will remain with the company as interim controller to support a smooth handover and is expected to pursue new personal and professional opportunities later this year.
