EG On The Move buys 37 IMO car washes in France
Zuber Issa’s UK-based forecourt group adds the locations, run by independent retail partners, to its 260-station French estate and plans to rebrand them over time.
EG On The Move has acquired a network of 37 IMO Car Wash locations in France operated by independent third-party retail partners. The company has confirmed it will rebrand the sites over time and financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal adds to EGOTM’s French estate of 260 fuel stations, which it took over from EG Group earlier this year. The Blackburn-based company also owns 285 forecourts in the UK. CEO Zuber Issa created the business in 2024, when he acquired EG Group’s UK forecourt division in a £228 million deal.
“We are delighted to welcome IMO car wash operations into the EG On The Move family,” said Issa. “Car wash provides us another investment opportunity to expand and grow in France.”
Selim Maraslioglu, Director General of EG On The Move France, said: “This IMO car wash network acquisition reflects a firm commitment by EG On The Move to invest in the French market.” He added: “For many French motorists, whether commuting daily, travelling for business or embarking on family journeys, convenient and reliable car wash facilities remain an important part of the roadside experience.”
The company also plans to assess ways to improve sustainability across the acquired sites and to support the use of efficient car wash technologies where appropriate.
