EG On The Move has completed its acquisition of 85 commission-operated forecourts from the Prax network across the UK, expanding its national footprint to approximately 285 sites and deepening its ties with independent forecourt operators.

The newly acquired sites will continue running under a commission operator model, with EG On The Move working directly with operators to improve site performance and customer experience.

"Our business is built on strong partnerships with not only retail brand partners but now independent commission operators," said Zuber Issa CBE, CEO of EG On The Move. "We are delighted to welcome the Prax network into our UK site portfolio."

The company said it plans to explore investment across the acquired network, including upgrades to motorist welfare facilities, expanded foodservice offerings, broader grocery and merchandise ranges, and the addition of fast EV charging and car wash options where suitable.

"Today's completion marks an important milestone for the business and the many commission operators and employees who have contributed to its success," said Ian Woodcock, Managing Director of Prax Retail.

"We believe EG On The Move is well placed to take the business forward, and we thank everyone who has supported the network over the years for their dedication and commitment," he added.

EG On The Move said the deal reflects its continued confidence in the UK forecourt market and its commitment to supporting independently run sites.
