PTT Oil and Retail’s Q3 profit rises as fuel margins firm

Thailand’s leading energy company points to stronger fuel margins, tighter cost control and continued growth in its consumer businesses.

Thai operator PTT Oil and Retail Business (OR) reported higher third-quarter earnings, pointing to stronger fuel margins, tighter cost control and continued growth in its consumer businesses despite lower global oil prices.

OR said EBITDA rose 7.2% from the previous quarter to 4.88bn baht (about $151.2m), while net profit increased 17.1% to 2.61bn baht ($80.9m). Over the first nine months of 2025, OR reported net profit of 9.23bn baht ($286.0m) and EBITDA of 15.9bn baht ($492.6m), up 24.5% year on year.

The company said average gross profit per litre improved across gasoline and diesel, describing conditions as a return to a more “stable and healthy” phase in Thailand’s fuel retail market. It also highlighted firmer aviation fuel demand and expansion of its PTT stations and EV Station PluZ charging network, now at more than 1,300 locations.

Café Amazon remained a key growth engine, with beverage sales of 109 million cups, up 11% year on year, as OR’s food-and-drink footprint reached 4,729 outlets. The company also rolled out an upgraded blueplus+ app bundling loyalty, payments and service perks.
