PWM acquires electronics service provider Elkotron GmbH – strategic expansion of the group

PWM GmbH & Co. KG has acquired 100% of the shares in Elkotron GmbH as of October 1, 2025. The company, based in Solms (Hesse), will operate under the new name Elkotron Systems GmbH.

Elkotron has been an established provider of development and manufacturing services for complex electronic assemblies for over 25 years. The company has particular expertise in implementing customized electronic solutions for industrial applications that require the highest standards of miniaturization, reliability, and customization.

The acquiring company, PWM GmbH & Co. KG, is the global market leader in electronic price displays for gas stations and operates in over 160 countries. Headquartered in Bergneustadt (North Rhine-Westphalia), PWM has locations on all continents and has specialized in the development and production of electronic display systems for more than 40 years.

PWM is wholly owned by Leop. Krawinkel GmbH & Co. KG, an independent, family-owned company now in its seventh generation, led by Dr. Max F. Krawinkel. For Dr. Krawinkel, the acquisition of Elkotron Systems represents a strategically important step:
