Q1 Energie AG adds high-speed EV charging to Osnabrück fuel station

Q1 Energie AG has expanded its EV charging network in Osnabrück, bringing two new charging stations online at its VfL Fan Filling Station. The installation adds four fast-charging points to the site, each capable of delivering up to 300 kW, putting it among the most powerful publicly accessible chargers in the region. The new points are available around the clock and dispense certified green electricity.
"With this expansion at such a high-traffic location, we are responding to the growing demand for high-performance fast-charging infrastructure in the region," said Heinz Wächter, Project Engineer for Sustainable Energies at Q1.
Unlike many standalone charging locations, the Bremer Straße site gives drivers somewhere to go while they wait. The station houses a shop, a bistro, and the integrated EssQlub restaurant, meaning a charging stop can double as a meal break or a quick grocery run. "Our goal is to make electric mobility practical in everyday life and to turn charging time into time well spent," Wächter added.
Drivers can pay using credit or debit cards, a range of charging cards, or mobile payment solutions. Q1 also offers its own Q1 Card, which unlocks discounted rates at company-owned locations and is accepted at more than 20,000 charging points across Germany.
The Osnabrück expansion is the latest step in Q1 Energie AG's strategic rollout of charging infrastructure nationwide. The company currently operates more than 200 charging points and over 230 fuel stations across Germany, with further growth planned as demand for fast, reliable EV charging continues to rise.
