Q1 is focusing on more digitalization in the fuel retail business, with its most recent announcement the unlocking of digital receipts across several service stations of its network.

This is made possible by a cooperation with anybill, provider of digital receipt technology. With this latest addition, Q1 now not only avoids the unnecessary printing of blank receipts, but also opens up new digital channels to customers.

The digital receipt can be shown as a QR code on the customer's display or sent directly to an existing account. Thus, offering a sustainable alternative to conventional paper receipts and a new digital marketing channel to customers.

"The partnership with anybill enables us to take a further step towards digitalization in the petrol station business. The digital receipt is not only convenient and innovative, but also contributes to greater sustainability," explains Frank Stapenhorst, Head of POS Technology at Q1.

Q1 started digitizing receipts at its pilot locations in Iffezheim and Espenau last year. After positive response from customers, the cooperation was further rolled out to 26 petrol stations across its network. In the future, the company aims to offer a digital receipt at over 200 other stations.
