Q1 merges app and card services for mobile payments
The new digital platform enables customers to pay at the pump, buy wash codes and manage cards without visiting the cashier.
Q1 Energie AG has launched a new mobile app that allows customers to pay for fuel and car washes directly from their smartphones, eliminating the need to visit the cashier. The app is now available across Germany and is designed to simplify the refueling experience while expanding digital services at Q1 locations.
The first version of the app enables Q1 Card customers to digitize their fuel cards and use them directly at the pump. Transactions can be completed within the app, aligning with broader industry trends toward contactless and mobile payment solutions.
In addition to fueling, users can purchase car wash codes at selected sites, manage their car accounts and apply for new cards through the platform. The app also includes a location finder, providing real-time information on nearby stations and charging points, along with services and opening hours.
Jonathan Burghardt, Strategic Projects Manager at Q1, said: “We have designed a streamlined app that reflects our service approach and includes all the essential functions for our customers.” He added that future updates will expand features to enhance convenience.
The rollout reflects Q1’s focus on digitalization as part of its broader mobility offering, which includes more than 230 service stations and over 200 charging points nationwide. By integrating payments, services and station information into a single platform, the company aims to improve customer experience while supporting the shift toward more seamless, technology-driven mobility solutions.
