Regional aid scheme to add 10 GNV stations in southeast-central France
GNVolont’Air 2 programme eyes the deployment in the Auvergne-Rhônes-Alpes region in the period 2021 – 2023, with the first five stations coming next year.
France’s regional aid scheme GNVolont’Air 2 is targeting to deploy ten natural gas vehicle (GNV) filling stations in the Auvergne-Rhônes-Alpes region in the period 2021 – 2023. Plans are for inaugurating the first five locations next year, reports Gaz-Mobilité.fr.
"With GNVolont'Air 2, we are moving away from the major cities, considering that they all have at least one station. It is mainly urban and suburban areas that are targeted," says Anne-Sophie Banse, transport manager at ADEME's Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regional office, a partner to the GNVolont'Air 2 programme.
The initial mapping with the five stations identified for 2022 eyes locations in the municipalities of Saône Beaujolais, Loire Forez, Bourg en Bresse, between Bièvre and Rhône, and Valence Romans.
Launched over the 2017-2020 period, GNVolont’Air 1 enabled the emergence of 12 GNV filling stations and the financing of the acquisition of 150 natural gas-powered trucks in the Auvergne-Rhônes-Alpes region.
