Repsol promotes EV transition via mobility partnership in Spain
The energy company will provide charging services as well as the implementation of chargers for private mobility platform Bolt’s fleet of vehicles.
Repsol has signed a strategic agreement with Bolt to accelerate the transition to electric mobility throughout Spain.
The energy company will provide charging services to small fleets and drivers that operate through the mobility app. Repsol will launch a new program by the name of Bolt VIP, which will offer a complete chagrin service with a 100% renewable electricity guarantee to power operations. The program includes a turnkey solution for the installation of charging points and supply for houses and offices alongside discount at any of the company’s public charging sites.
At the same time, all drivers will get a 50% discount if they sign up for the company's home or office electricity tariff. The partnership is set to begin in Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga-Costa del Sol and Seville, with plans to expand to other cities in the country.
"This strategic agreement with Bolt is a further step in Repsol's commitment to electric mobility in Spain. Furthermore, this alliance consolidates our position as a multi-energy company, a leader in mobility and committed to the goal of achieving zero net emissions by 2050, being the first company in the sector to adopt this ambitious goal," said Carlos Bermúdez, Electric Mobility Manager at Repsol.
Repsol currently has more than 1,200 public recharging points installed in Spain, with over 520 operational and most of them located at service stations.
