Rolande opens Bio-LNG truck station on Germany's A92 motorway
Rolande positions Bio-LNG as a ready-now decarbonization tool for freight operators.
Dutch Bio-LNG operator Rolande has inaugurated a new public refueling station for heavy goods vehicles in Wörth an der Isar, Lower Bavaria, located directly on the A92 motorway, a key east-west corridor in southern Germany.
The facility operates around the clock, features two dispensers compatible with all LNG-ready trucks, and includes diesel pumps installed by Q8. Wide lanes and generous maneuvering space make it accessible to international long-haul fleets. Q8 has also installed truck diesel dispensers at the site.
Rolande positions Bio-LNG as a ready-now decarbonization tool for freight operators, claiming CO₂ reductions of up to 100% compared to diesel when the fuel is derived from organic residues such as manure or food waste.
"This location fills an important gap in international transport corridors and makes it easier for Bio-LNG truck drivers on routes to Austria, the Czech Republic and southeastern Europe to fuel with the cleanest available fuel," said Jolon van der Schuit, CEO of Rolande.
The Wörth an der Isar station expands Rolande's network to nearly 200 Bio-LNG sites across Germany.
