Sheetz exceeds 2 million EV charging sessions
The retailer currently has 650 chargers established in 95 of its 700 stores across the United States.
Sheetz customers have charged their electric vehicles over 2 million times across its network of EV stations.
As one of the early adopters of e-mobility solutions, the company installed its first EV charger in Pennsylvania back in 2012. The retailer has now grown its charging infrastructure across its retail network so that it has rolled out 650 chargers in 95 stores.
This milestone comes one year after the brand announced it has surpassed one million charging sessions. In addition, it has announced plans to expand its charging network with more EV stations to be rolled out in the near future.
“With nearly 700 stores across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and Ohio, Sheetz has an established infrastructure with plans to expand our electric vehicle charging network in the future,” said Trevor Walter, Vice president of Petroleum Supply Management at Sheetz.
Sheetz currently operates 679 stores across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland. The company will open its first store in Dayton, Ohio, next year and will expand into Michigan in 2025.
