Shell has expanded the reach of its Fleet App in the UK through a new partnership with ComCab London, targeting taxi and private hire vehicle (PHV) operators. The collaboration is part of the energy giant’s broader aggregator strategy to scale digital fleet management solutions across key mobility segments.

The agreement enables ComCab drivers and fleet partners to access Shell’s platform, which integrates fuel and electric vehicle charging management within a single interface. The app allows users to monitor spending, track usage in real time and access digital invoices, helping streamline administrative processes for fleet operators.

The rollout also provides access to a network of fuel stations and public EV charging points, supporting mixed fleets as the sector transitions toward electrification. By consolidating payment, reporting and operational tools, the platform aims to simplify day-to-day management for drivers and fleet managers.

The partnership reflects a growing focus on digitalization within the taxi and PHV sector, where operators are increasingly adopting connected solutions to optimize costs and improve efficiency. It also demonstrates how aggregator models are being used to accelerate adoption across fragmented mobility markets.

Through collaborations such as the one with ComCab, Shell is expanding its footprint in urban mobility services while building a more integrated ecosystem for managing fuel and charging across different vehicle types.
