Shell to double its number of stations in Russia
Royal Dutch Shell to make Russia a priority region by doubling the number of petrol stations it currently has.
Shell is looking push its downstream operations in Russia with a special focus on retail, said Sergey Starodubtsev, the chief executive of Shell’s Russian unit, in a press conference.
The global energy company will double its current network of 227 gas stations in the near future, reports Oil Price.
In the last years Shell has been investing in a number of LNG ventures. The Anglo-Dutch company holds a 27% stake in the Sakhalin-2 project, and in June this year it signed a joint venture with Gazprom for Baltic LNG – a project that studies the construction of an LNG plant in the Baltic Sea with a capacity of 10 million tons.
