Spain: Repsol to take phone orders in more than 800 c-stores
The company launches a new service during the lockdown the country is experiencing in its fight against the spread of the coronavirus.
Repsol has launched a new initiative to take orders by telephone in more than 800 convenience store located across its service station network in Spain. The initiative aims to facilitate access in safe conditions to a wider range of essential products, such as food and hygiene items, in the fight against COVID-19.
This new initiative offers "the maximum flexibility and the closest possible proximity, adapting to the change in habits caused by the current state of alarm and the situation of confinement in their homes of a large part of the Spanish population", according to Repsol.
Customers can place an order by phone, agree on a delivery time and pick it up at the service station during normal opening hours and without any friction between people during the whole process.
The company will also offer a 5% discount if these purchases are paid with the Waylet application, a new frictionless payment method.
The initiative to take phone orders adds to the one launched a few weeks ago by Repsol in collaboration with Deliveroo to facilitate the supply of basic products through home delivery in urban areas.
