SPAR Gran Canaria is reinforcing its position as a key player in the island’s retail landscape, reaching the significant milestone of 200 stores while advancing its social and environmental responsibility agenda.

The group continues to demonstrate its commitment to serving local communities through strategic expansion, cultural partnerships, and sustainability initiatives. In a move toward greater convenience, the company is piloting a new forecourt store format with the launch of a SPAR Express inside the Santana Domínguez gas station.

Open 365 days a year, the store will offer ready-to-eat meals and grab-and-go options, catering to on-the-move shoppers and modern consumption habits.

In addition, SPAR Gran Canaria renewed its partnership with El Museo Canario for the sixth consecutive year through the Family Visits programme. This initiative offers free educational workshops, interactive tours, and games designed to promote cultural heritage and family engagement.

The company also maintains a long-standing collaboration with the Red Cross in Las Palmas, underlined by a recent donation of 4,836 liters of milk to support vulnerable families.

By integrating strategic retail growth with deep social engagement and sustainability leadership, SPAR Gran Canaria continues to embody its “Better Together” approach to enhance quality of life for residents and advance a greener, more inclusive future for the island.
