SPAR Gran Canaria streamlines retail operations
The Spanish retailer aims to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and align pricing with real-time demand.
SPAR Gran Canaria has announced a major step in its digital transformation by adopting a unified retail planning platform to streamline operations and improve profitability.
The move is designed to integrate demand forecasting, inventory management, pricing, and promotions into a single, AI-powered system. This initiative will use the new platform to replace legacy systems and eliminate manual processes that have historically hindered coordination between supply chain and commercial teams.
With real-time visibility across operations, SPAR Gran Canaria will be able to better anticipate customer demand, align pricing with inventory availability, and improve promotional planning.
“In today’s dynamic retail environment, aligning our supply chain’s logistical and commercial operations with pricing is critical,” said Dunia Pérez, Managing Director of SPAR Gran Canaria. “This platform gives us the tools to plan holistically, with shared forecasts and data across teams. That means better outcomes for our customers and stronger performance for our business.”
The platform, provided by retail software firm RELEX Solutions, will also enhance collaboration with suppliers through more accurate demand signals, helping to build a more responsive and efficient value chain.
SPAR Gran Canaria expects the move to support its continued growth, operational resilience, and commitment to customer satisfaction across the island.
