Sweden: Reitan to launch sustainable new c-store format PBX
New brand will function as a so-called "living lab" where the company’s sustainability strategy can be tested.
Reitan Convenience Sweden is accelerating the launching of its new brand PBX, a format that ambitions to become “the world’s most sustainable convenience store”, according to the company. Work is now underway to build the store, which will open in Stockholm after the summer.
The new PBX store will function as a so-called "living lab" where the company’s sustainability strategy can be tested.
The purpose is to be able to directly investigate and evaluate what is most sustainable in terms of both operations and supply, in order to speed up the work with the sustainable adjustment in other operations, says Reytan.
“Reitan Convenience will not have all the answers today, but by basing its efforts on research and data and by continuously exploring and evaluating various products, services and initiatives, they can move forward and create what will be the convenience of the future, ” says Elin Enfors-Kautsky, founder and CEO of Prosperous Planet, the company co-responsible for developing Reitan Convenience's sustainability strategy in 2019.
Reitan Convenience Sweden operates approximately 400 stores.
