Switzerland: Migros and Shell AG extend partnership
Migrol and Migrolino are extending their long-term partnership with Shell in the retail and fuel business. At more than 120 Shell stations, customers can continue shopping at Migrolino convenience stores.
The two companies have renewed the expiring 2008 agreement for a further twelve years.
Shell operates convenience stores with the concept and range of Migrolino at 62 of its own stations. A further 61 Shell petrol stations with Migrolino are owned by Migrol AG.
"We are pleased to continue to have a strong partner with Migrolino, who is well established with his popular shopping assortment and appreciated by the customers. We want to further increase the attractiveness of our stations,” said Julian Weber, the gas station boss of Shell in Switzerland.
Shell's existing Migrolino shops are being modernized and partially expanded. In the future they will offer the full range of Migrolino, according to the Swiss retailer.
Migrolino AG is a subsidiary of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives. It currently operates shops in 311 locations in Switzerland with a mix of fresh convenience products, branded goods, Migros products and other services.
