The Netherlands: Two new hydrogen stations to open in the North
Holthausen and Resato International partner to open two new hydrogen filling stations in Groningen and Amsterdam.
Northern Dutch companies Holthausen and Resato International have joined forces to further develop the hydrogen economy in The Netherlands with the opening of two new hydrogen filling stations in Northern regions. Light and heavy hydrogen commercial vehicles will be able to refuel at the public filling stations located in Groningen in mid-2021, and in Amsterdam at the end of 2021.
With the realisation of these two filling stations in the Netherlands, the companies intend to lay the ground for the development of a Dutch national network of hydrogen filling stations.
"We started in the North and are looking for collaborations throughout the Netherlands. Resato has been a partner from the beginning and we express our appreciation of this Northern cooperation by also having these filling stations built by them in order to contribute to hydrogen filling in the Netherlands," says Max Holthausen, COO of Holthausen Clean Technology.
"In addition to the cooperation and positive contribution for BV Nederland, we are also placing "future proof" high capacity hydrogen filling stations where the now emerging (heavier transport) market demands. With the public filling stations in Belgium and Germany already under contract, this is an extra boost for us," comments Gerard Schuiringa, Area Sales Manager Hydrogen at Resato.
Market leader Resato operates a network of nine hydrogen filling stations in the Netherlands.
