ThunderPlus, Evey Trans to build ultra‑fast EV charging hub in South India
The new facility near Vijayawada strengthens high‑capacity electric mobility infrastructure.
ThunderPlus has partnered with Evey Trans Private Limited to develop a 1.6 MW ultra‑fast electric vehicle (EV) charging hub near Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, marking a major step in expanding e-mobility infrastructure along one of South India’s busiest transport corridors. The project will be located on a one‑acre site in Kunchanapalli, Tadepalli, strategically positioned on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada highway.
The hub is designed to support high‑volume traffic and long‑distance mobility, serving a mix of electric buses, commercial fleets, passenger EVs and two‑wheelers. With a planned total installed capacity of 1.6 MW, the site will be among the most powerful EV charging facilities in the region and will be able to accommodate large fleet operations.
Infrastructure at the upcoming station will include ultra‑fast DC charging and dedicated support services built to improve fleet operations. The facility is also planned as a comprehensive mobility ecosystem, integrating areas for servicing, maintenance, driver training and rest to streamline daily operations for EV operators.
