Trafigura closes acquisition of more than 250 petrol stations in Argentina
Global trading commodity trading group, Trafigura Group Pte Ltd, has completed the acquisition of the majority of downstream assets of Pampa Energia S.A. in Argentina.
The $90-million acquisition includes more than 250 service stations and the Ricardo Elicabe refinery (BBR) located in Argentina’s port city of Bahia Blanca.
The petrol stations will be rebranded and rolled out over the coming months. Trafigura is also developing a network of petrol stations across the country under the Puma Energy brand.
Trafigura’s current operations in Argentina include a fluvial fleet and the Campana Terminal, which supplies the Argentinian, Paraguayan, and Bolivian markets with diesel and gasoline via the Parana River.
