UK smallest convenience stores have less than two months before tobacco ban
Even the smallest shop in the UK will have to comply by April 15 with new regulations banning tobacco displays in stores, the UK association of convenience stores (ACS) said mid February in a statement.
“The tobacco display ban regulations will affect thousands of retailers. We urge retailers to think about how they are going to make sure they are ready,”.ACS Chief Executive James Lowman has said, according to the recently released statement.
The display ban was introduced in 2012 for all stores over 3000 sq ft / 280 sq m, with a three year period allowed for smaller retailers to prepare for the change.
