US: Empire Petroleum acquires STi Fuels' wholesale business
Dallas, Texas-based motor fuels distributor, Empire Petroleum, has acquired the wholesale distribution rights of Superior Transport, Inc. (STi), a Georgia-based distributor of fuel to petrol stations throughout northwest Georgia, northeastern Alabama, and the Chattanooga, Tennessee area.
The acquired assets, which include 47 consignment accounts and 77 wholesale supply contracts, further expand Empire's footprint in said areas and increases its existing supplier partnerships with Shell and BP, according to a company release.
"Sti Fuels has been a fixture in all facets of the fuel business for decades to include, retail, wholesale, development, and transportation, and being able to acquire these customers' is a welcome addition to Empire's network," said Empire's Vice President of Market Development, Michael O'Brien.
Empire distributes known fuel brands to more than 1,400 stations in 27 states.
