USA: Enel to optimise EV charging site selection for expansion
The company has partnered with Stable for a data-driven approach when searching for new locations across the North American region.
Enel has announced a new partnership through its Enel X Way subsidiary to optimise site selection for expansion. The firm has selected Stable, a company that bases its operations in the analysis of electric vehicle charging usage through predictive software, to provide insights on where charging stations are needed most.
Enel X aims to expand its network of EV charging stations across North America. The new association will arm businesses and municipalities with data-driven predictions and help them to make informed decisions on charging site viability at any given location.
“As EV sales continue to skyrocket, the number of new EV drivers is outpacing the number of new EV charging stations. As Enel X Way expands its EV charging station network across North America, the insights Stable’s software provides are key to identifying where charging stations are most needed, helping our customers make more informed decisions and better support larger decarbonization efforts,” said Elise Benoit, Head of Marketing and Commercial Communications of Enel X Way North America.
Stable’s solutions analyse real-life charging sessions from EV chargers to understand how factors such as traffic, EV sales, income, and nearby attractions impact site utilisation. Its software builds all of that knowledge into a straightforward interface so that anyone can understand how new sites will perform.
